Re: Chela def. Massu 6-3 6-7(6) 7-5

it was a crazy match to follow on scoreboard

good job Chela

if Hartfield and Gaudio (very unlikely) win we might have 4 argentinians in the semis

This match lasted 3h26min but a good portion of the time was spent by Massu taking his time to put the ball in play.

Such a heartbreaking loss for Nico!

After saving 5 MPs, He got the GP and then 'cause of a weird bounce, Nicocan't hit the bball, I'm sure It would have been tie break by now!
And, Of course, He led 3-1 in the 3rd!

Gaudio º Gonzalez, F º Massu º Murray º Thiem º Nalbandian º Nishikori º Wawrinka

Well done Juan, gutsy win.

These two played a very long three setter in Auckland back in Janurary. Anyone know how long that one went for?

Re: Chela def. Massu 6-3 6-7(6) 7-5

Five years ago Chela beat Massu in Acapulco (R16) after saving 2 match points but then match lasted "only" 2 hours 56 minutes (2-6 7-6 6-4).
Chela in Acapulco is a nightmare for Nico.

Nico. Such a hard fought match...not sure why Nico can't beat his buddy Chela but he sure can't seem to.

Congrats and good luck to Chela in the rest of the tourny.

Re: Chela def. Massu 6-3 6-7(6) 7-5

I'd like to see match Massu vs. Saretta on clay with score 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 or something like this - they would play 4 hours and make a new record
