Battle of the Old and New Spaniards? "Humble" Almagro or 2x Acapulco champ Moya ?

This QF match in Acapulco has more potential to be close than the Ferrero/Gaudio one.

These guys have only played once indoors in Vienna and Moya won 7-6 in the 3rd.

Carlos likes the beach and has won this event twice and Almagro definitely doesn't lack the self confidence, but losing his 2 matches when he was the favourite, isn't surprising.

Will the old veteran or the youngster win the battle of the countrymen?

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

You can definitely picture Almagro being the bad guy in a match like that.

I wonder if Almagro would play up against a respected elder like Moya on court?

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Sadly, Mucho "the humble" Almagro in 2.

Even McEnroe behaved when he played Borg.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I say Carlos will win in 3 sets. If Flavia keeps winning, he has to keep up with her

Dificult one, so I'd pick Carlos, for he's more experienced

Anyway, just noticed that all seeded guys made it to the quarters. Doesn't happen often in claycourt event, does it?

Not one of your faves for some reason X-man?
