Nadal vs. Youzhny-who will win?

Havent seen a single match of youhzny as side court matches arent aired

Any thoughts about tomorrows match?Rafa had a long match today so i wonder how this will affect him. Hes not the same rafa at the us open so i can see him winning this one.

If Rafa can barely beat the man ranked 139 in the world, what chance has he got against the in-form Youzhny?

Nadal's only chance is that Youzhny is tired. And no that is not an excuse but a fact.

if Nadal wins, its a fluke because Misha is tired, if he loses, he sucks because Misha is tired and still able to beat him. right?

youzhny should be a bit tired so he will win in 3 sets, instead of the 2 he would win in if he was fresh

Nadal in 3, maybe even in 2. 2-hours match doesn't make Rafa tired

Re: Nadal vs. Youzhny-who will win?

What the hell? A full in from Misha would not blow Nadal of the court.

The US Open match was tight, hard fought match overall and was decided on a few, well hard fought points by Youzhny, acompanied by a fatal Nadal mistake.

Youzhny is fully capable of beating Nadal, no doubt, but to say Youzhny can blow Nadal off court? No way.

I voted for Rafa to win in three. I think he will fight through and Youzhny will not play great, just a hunch.

However, the Dubai court is playing a lot faster than last year, it was evident in the Andreev match. I have no doubts that if Youzhny plays top notch tennis for two sets he will simply blow Nadal off court. If you disagree, say why? Why should it be any different to when Nadal faces other HC'ers with weapons? It's the same, he hasn't the weapons to stop it. That said, I still think Nadal will take it.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

I think that when comes down to comparing apples to apples- Misha is a better hard court player at this speed than Nadal. He is strong enough off of both wings and has good court sense.

Still- Rafa can at times be a bigger "big match" player. That stated, Misha has beat Rafa in their last hc match and in the last few months he has shown more maturity and less choking.

Yes, I am on the Misha bandwagon replete with a trombone and a funny hat. I just have thought for a good while that he is a real talent and am happy to see him stepping up to it in a more consistant basis.

I acutally think that Youzhny will take it in three. Everyone says he is tired, but a rustier Nadal had the harder and later match.

I like a lot of players.

Nothing special. Replace Nadal with any other surname and it can still be all right, so it's not the case of Rafa-hating I think

Re: Nadal vs. Youzhny-who will win?

Rafa in 3 I think. Berdych would have tougher - he has a proven track record against Nadal. Youzhny trails 2-3 in H2H and so Rafa knows he can beat Youzhny. I also think Youzhny's last week will catch up with him - Nadal's mission will be to keep Youzhny out there and grind him down, and I think he will do.

Misha has his chance, certainly, but I think Nadal will find a way to get it done.
