Haas d. Serra 76(5) 63

Haas looked tired today and suffering from the punishing scheduling he has imposed upon himself.

Still - he found a way to get it done so well done

I fail to see hows he going to have any impact in IW, if he even turns up.

Plenty of time to worry about Indian Wells - if he heads back as soon as he loses he's likely to have a week or so before his first match - Indian Wells main draw doesn't kick off until like the Friday or Saturday for the first week, IIRC.

Good to hear. I forgot about that.

I am not terribly happy with Haas' performance today, particularly his bh, but he pulled through it.

Watching the match I had the feeling that first set tiebreak was crucial - I didn't see Tommy having the patience to stay out there to win in three, and if he'd blown that breaker he'd have gone down in 2, muttering and cursing allt he way.

As it is, at 5-5 he hit that glorious lob right over Serra's head at the net, absolutely inspired shot, and then served out the breaker, and gave him enough impetus to see it through in 2.

Well done!!

It wasn't easy. Next match against O. Rochus or Davydenko should be tough again! Go Tommy!!

Another good match of Tommy!
He is going from win to win at moment!

Albert Costa forever +++ Tommy Haas +++ Ivo Karlovic +++ Peter Luczak

Re: Haas d. Serra 76(5) 63

yup the tiredness came back n bit Tommy hard. it was 4 games before anyone (Tommy) held serve. a very out of sorts performance. at this rate he's going to struggle against Kolya in the quarters.

Please see here if interested in downloading tennis matches.

Contrary to popular belief, I am not a Rafa hater. I am, however, a RAFATARD hater and therefore take endless delight in each Rafa loss as it allows me to sock it hard to his tards. Do try and understand the difference (TARDS)! Don't get me started on Choke-ovic though. Him I do despise. And his TARDS are the lowest of the low .
