Laureus Awards 2007 Nominees

Nice to see tennis represented I'm glad they replaced the newcomer award with breakthrough. It was odd seeing Nadal winnign newcomber last year.

I think it's sad that winter sports are not involved...Anja Pärson had an incredible WC

I really don't get why micahel Schumacher is among the mens list...

I think he deserves to be nominated after that fabulous season he gave us last year. Can't how boring it would have been if he wasn't there racing from behind and giving the fans a great rivalry to watch throughout the season.

Re: Laureus Awards 2007 Nominees

what are fed's chances of winning three in a row? if he does, and then he wins all slams this year, that should make him a sure shot to win again next year right?

Re: Laureus Awards 2007 Nominees

These awards are a joke. Three women from tennis nominated? Henin fine: she reached all finals, yes and Mauresmo, but Sharapova? Although they all shared number 1, none of them deserve the award and only 1 (at the most 2) deserved a nomination. And Mauresmo for breakthrough? Wasn't she already number 1 before the 2006 breakthrough. It was a breakthrough but she was already there right near the top of the sport.

It's between Roger and Tiger. I think maybe Roger, I mean he did go WFWW at grandslams last year.

Re: Laureus Awards 2007 Nominees

Pretty pathetic list if you assholes like Cannavaro or cheating teams like Italy in football on it who win by headbumps in final and by false penalty against Australia and who have the scandals at home in their league that people die throught betting mafias and who are most scandals on the world in football.

I must really mean a lot if would more like Federer winning it than anything Italian in football. Except line calling which the umpire give to Federer in important situation, Federer does not cheat much.

Albert Costa forever +++ Tommy Haas +++ Ivo Karlovic +++ Peter Luczak

RAFA owns Fedclown ~~~ H2H record 14-7 -- ~~~ 3 different GS finals included
Byebye Fedjerk, your dominance period is over! Nadal will win like 10 more Slams!

Jogy, coming from you, this means almost as much as winning the award itself!
