Roger said: "It's fun him drawing Baghdatis; it's like when I drew Marat in the 1st round here a few years ago. It's kind of fun for the first round."
I doubt that Rafa sees it as "fun". I think he would have preferred Pless somehow.

Perhaps he means it's fun for himself.
And Concerning Rafa's draw , Baghdatis would be the funniest , and happiest thing to happen for the guy.

If you are conceited about your glory, why don't you feed the earth for a day?
and if you are conceited about your power, why did your desires control
you one day?

I'm sure Roger will enjoy with his feet up while Rafa sweats his famous ass off to get past Baghdatis.

Federer said in the interview that Nadal is the person most likely to take over as world number 1, but he didn't say when. He seemed shocked that anyone would doubt it.

yeah especially with rafa struggling, I just picture Roggi in the hotel room maniacally laughing and twisting his imaginary mustache, the entire match.

Currently Roddick is in 3rd place with 2,830 points. Last year Nadal's clay court points were 2,300 alone and if he were to repeat plus win Hamburg that would be 2,800 points. As long as Nadal dominates on clay I can't see anyone jumping ahead of him.

And he sucked in last summer's hard-court season....I mean, he isn't really defending that many points. If he were to win one, that would pretty much seal it up, wouldn't it?

Roger isn't going to be losing that strangle-hold on #1 anytime soon anyway, so the point is moot.
