Take a well earned break Willy and congrats Lucho now go and win the title.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Good win for Lucho. He was very patient and hit plenty of powerful and angled shots, making Canas work hard and eventually wearing him out. Canas is like that living-dead creature you shoot many times in the head but he always comes back.

Of course lest we forget, he has the title in Acapulco to defend very soon.... is it possible he could hold three of the four South American titles at the same time?

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

I agree that Cañas looked tired for the first time since he came back. But Horna played really, but really good.
It's not fair reducing this to Willy being tired.
Horna deserves all the credit. Maybe the final score could be different with Cañas rested, but playing like today? Not sure the result was going to be different. Impressive performance on clay for Horna.

Why is that a surprise, it's not like clay is Horna's worst surface.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Congrats Lucho!
I wasn't expecting this, even althought I'm not shocked or something

I'm glad Lucho brought his head to Buenos Aires! 'cause a nervous Lucho is very different from this one

Gaudio º Gonzalez, F º Massu º Murray º Thiem º Nalbandian º Nishikori º Wawrinka

Rest Willy, you deserve a nice long break, I wish he could take the WC this week and then withdraw just too piss them off, but I dont think Willy would do that

Nice win Lucho, he is playing some great tennis right now.
