If Ferrero will win against Lapentti in straight sets, the Spaniard plays in QF...

Wasn't Ferrero up 4-1 or something like that in the 2nd set?

Actually, he can win in 3 sets and still qualify. He only needed to win one set today.

Other way round. Devilder was 5-2 up in the 2nd and then JC came back to lead 6-5.
He never had a MP. Devilder held quite comfortably and then won the TB 7-2.

Why? If Ferrero will win 2-1 all the players have 1/1 in matches and 3/3 in sets

Well, Ferrero only got to Costa's F because he had a cakewalk draw (Sarjetta in a SF is proof).

Poor JCF. He probably choked after realizing how close he was to winning and how he squandered it.

Re: Devilder defeats Ferrero

6-0??? Absolutely pathetic. How does that happen? Devilder? Really???

Djokovic // Del Potro // Paire // Thiem // M. Zverev // Youzhny
Coric // Khachanov // Donaldson // A. Zverev // Bublik
Ferrero // Rafter

Indeed. It will then come down to game ratios:

Lapentti is 14-12
Devilder is 26-26
Ferrero is 12-14

It's finely balanced at the moment. What I don't know is what happens if Ferrero wins 2 games more than Lapentti. Then they're all equal on both set and game ratios.
