Rafa v Gonzo: Who will win?

Well, now that Rafa has taken out Fed, will he get on a roll, a la Vince Spadea, or will he have a letdown the way Fed did at 19 win he conquered Pete at Wimbledon?

Gonzo won their first and only meeting last year.

Thoughts?

Re: Rafa v Gonzo: Who will win?

he seems like the type, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, where confidence really helps? If that's the case, I don't see why he won't keep it going.

Re: Rafa v Gonzo: Who will win?

that's a tough call, both players are playing umbelievably well, but Gonzo has an extra factor on a very supportive Chilean crowd...

Re: Rafa v Gonzo: Who will win?

Hopefully it will be good match and I don't care who wins to be honest, but I will go for Gonzo, so that means Nadal will win.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

GONZO no doubts. Oki, maybe then i'll probably eat my vomit lol but that's what I think. Gonzo indeed has some extra advantage.

Gonzo is very streaky.

Good luck Rafael!

I don't think Rafa will have a letdown, so I think he'll take the match.

Re: Rafa v Gonzo: Who will win?

Roger had a groin injury at the time during his letdown which is why he didn't play all summer till Open 01. I pick Nadal.

Re: Rafa v Gonzo: Who will win?

how close it is all depends if Gonzo's brain is plugged in

If it is, he could smack his FH and push Fetus around and make him cry

otherwise Fetus is gonna steamroller him.

Got a feeling Gonzo's brain is gonna go on/off at times and Fetus to win in 3

Its gonna be a close and exciting match, no doubt about that. But I reckon Nadal will just defeat Gonzo. Itll be a great match! Vamos Rafael
