Question Davis Cup Players who had a good week?

Davis Cup seems to have taken its toll.
Who benefitted the most from the Honor of representing one's country. Pick One:

Federer is the easy answer.
But those that played davis and played this week really seemed to deserve their loss and played poorly-not just that they were wiped out from dc.

It's easy to say something like that without looking at specifics, for example did Roddick lose to Murray because of DC, or did he lose because Murray's returns at crucial times were too good?

Canas seems to be doing fine in Brasil, to the point where he can win two matches in a day.

Cañas, clearly - he's in the final, playing great tennis in spite of the transition from indoors to clay - why? He beat two players in DC ties and stepped back up to ATP level extremely successfully - and he's since backed that up against Calleri and Chela.

Just out of curiosity, what is Federer doing in that poll?

I could have put Canas in and probably should have, but I thought it interesting that so many top ranked players did rather badly at this weeks tournaments.

As for including Federer i was pointing out that i think other players should follow fed and either not play dc or take more time off after dc.

Not only did Federer not play DC, he didn't play a tournament this week.

HAhahahah Federer.

I am a fan of Federer, Gasquet, Baghdatis, the long-deceased Safin, Youzhny, Nalbandian, Rochus, Tsonga, the sadly-departed Santoro, and good, hearty, competitive tennis matches. The quality of my life does not rest solely on who wins these matches. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that I can live quite happily after a player I like chokes, mugs, bashes, or otherwise succumbs to a loss.

Sorry- still think that Willy should have been in this poll. He has been the most impresive imo.

I like a lot of players.

Hahahahahahahahaha, Federer

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
