Re: Finally,VERKERK is back!

Embrace The Face.

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

He's a legend, I hope he can do well. He was one of my favourite players.

Re: Finally,VERKERK is back!

have these funny pictures in my head when he defeated Moya in that quarterfinal,he really probably didn´t even think himself that he could win that

then he served so splendid and looked surprised all the time, you couldn´t dislike him a bit!

he was injured.(he suffered a shoulder injury i think at Amsterfoot in 2004. Where he defeated Gonzo in the final. ) He tried coming back last year but had to pull out of many tournaments as his injury was not completely heeled.

You misunderstood me, I mean "retired of the tournament" yet... It's not the first time that Martin finally appears in a main draw since that time and then finally withdraws. I hope that finally could play this time

Re: Finally,VERKERK is back!

it really seems everywhere i have looked that it is a comeback next week, but of course we will know that present day of the match if he still is gonna play.

but i really really wish him a return to top 100,that would increase my intrest in tennis by 123%!
