is this the end of gaudio coria massu and kuerten?

i don't want to think so but at least it is a difficult moment for this four southameriacans... 2 winners of roland garros....1 finalist in paris and winner of monte-carlo and hamburgo... and a top 10. The four are very different because kuerten is in the end of his carrear and it is to difficult to think that he will back.
Gaudio is very strange.... he could win roland garros in may or he could be retire... coria had 4 trainers now is with gumy but the way is difficult he is out of bs. as and he are going to lose 4 tournaments that are imporant for him... and massu is playing horrible!!

We have a new version of Just Cause.

It maybe the end, it may not be the end.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I predict this thread will be deleted or moved to the South America player forums

The fact that all these players are far from their top form does not mean that they can be sandwitched together. For each of them the circumstances are substantially different.

i am with you, but the fact is that the four are in the worst moment of his carrear maybe... and players who were in the elite of tennis i hope a recuperation for them because they have a lot of talent to give

I hope its not the end for any of them. They all have been great competitors and given much to the sport. I hope they can all get past their respective rough patches and return to former form.

Re: is this the end of gaudio coria massu and kuerten?

Kuerten: im sorry but yes is his end. He is not the same that the one before his physical problem.

Gaudio: his problem is completely mental, so he can return as soon as he find a new psychiatric and/or coach. But motivation plays a good role in his head, and his dream had already became true two years ago.

Coria: his problem is also mental, but has a directly connection with one of his shots, the serve. It seems he cannot find his perfect coach, if there is one. I think motivation is all in his game, and a couple of goods wins will help him with that.

Massu: All the tennis players had some bad moments. He shoulds definetly work his backhand. But he is not as bad as Kuerten, Gaudio and Coria.

Tennis is so weird... some players you see reach the top 10 then a year later you don't see them anywhere.

Is it the end for Nicolas Lapentti as well?

Re: is this the end of gaudio coria massu and kuerten?

non of these guys can get back into the top10 and stay there but it doesnt mean its the end of their career. They dont have to end it with winning a slam or a tms or even a tournament. I really dont know whats going on with coria. He hsnt even been questioned in interviews and i wanna know y the hell he hasnt played any tournaments this year. As for jeurten,he seems quite motivated to play tennis but im sure hes aware of the fact that hes not gonna go very far. Gaudio, i think he just doesnt care. depends on his mood

Take a look at his forum then, we just posted articles about it, he explains why. But it is not really a scoop, he says he doesn't feel ready yet to play tournaments like Buenos Aires (he started training again in December and he is really "starting from scratch" again, his game and his serve were a complete mess, it's not surprising at all he needs more time to get back to a decent level).
His plan is to come back in Houston.

Coria can still hopefully make a strong comeback.

The others are dead.

Coria is in good age. He can come back soon or in the next year, if he is fit and healthy. I hope, that everything will be o'k' with him.
Gaudio is 29 and Kuerten is about 30. They have less chances, than Coria. I don't know Massu.
