Nieminen def Chardy 67(1) 76(4) 76(6)

Way to go Jarkko!

Good fight from the LL Chardy who took Grosjeans place!

Surprisingly many breaks especially in the third set. Chardy was serving for the match leading 5-3 in the third and Jarkko on the other hand got the chance to serve the match home after he broke Chardy at 5 all third set! All together 8 breaks of serve in the match!

Total points won by Chardy, 114-116

Well it's not that good... He barely beat LL Chardy... This shuld have go much easier for him... It seems like a good draw for him in the next round since Ljubo is out

Jarkko

this really wasn't one of his best matches

If he plays like this tomorrow, I would bet my house on Mahut to win

But I'm sure Jarkko will play better tomorrow since he got this rubbish match out of the way.

Re: Nieminen def Chardy 67(1) 76(4) 76(6)

what a longggg match

basically a serving contest and of breaks. Chardy served for it @ 5-3, same with Nieminen @ 6-5, and @ 6-6 in the tie break, it was anyones game and Chardy made a stupid approuch to end the point quickly.

Nice win Jarko, gl against Nico Mahut

Very good fight from Chardy - definitely did not go quietly, in fact should have won, he was ahead in both the second and third sets. Somehow Jarkko squeaked through.

Well, Jakke fought well and eventually got the job done. He still needs a couple of more matches to find his game again. This certainly wasn't a great performance from him.
I'm still worried, his second serve still seems to be quite weak. Chardy was able to take advantage of it, and there are better returners than he is...
