I think if he tanked, he would lose in 2 sets, why to play 3 sets and still lose?
And he lost to a player ranked around #165...

becker had made a SF 2 weeks ago, I wouldn't call that disappointing.

Becker won't be in the team for the next match.

On clay he's probably not even top 10 in Germany and even if Belgium doesn't play on clay, he shouldn't be in the team.

let's not exagerate over becker just because of one game.
Yes to get to the SF he beat ppl outside the top 100, but he also played very well in the australian open and was very competitive against marat. He took a set from Ljubicic... it's his second year on the tour, give the guy a break !!!!
I am sure he will be very good very soon.
