Roddick: 2004 Wimby, 2005 Wimby, 2006 USO = 3
Chang: 1995 FO, 1996 AO, 1996 USO = 3

Hewitt: 2004 USO, 2005 AO = 2
Rafter: 2000 Wimby, 2001 Wimby = 2
Stich: 1994 USO, 1996 FO = 2
Courier: 1993 FO, 1993 Wimby = 2
Borg: 1981 Wimby, 1981 USO = 2

PS. In Women`s tennis I`m pretty sure that Hingis has the record~ of course she can correct that if she ever wins another Slam again:

Hingis: 1999 FO, 1999 USO, 2000 AO, 2001 AO, 2002 AO = 5

WTA : Arantxa Sánchez Vicario (5 losing streak in GS Finals)

1995 Australian Open lost to Mary Pierce 6-3, 6-2
1995 French Open lost to Steffi Graf 7-5, 4-6, 6-0
1995 Wimbledon lost to Steffi Graf 4-6, 6-1, 7-5
1996 French Open lost to Steffi Graf 6-3, 6-7, 10-8
1996 Wimbledon lost to Steffi Graf 6-3, 7-5

then recapture GS in 1998 French Open

I think CmonAussie was focusing on players who never managed to win another one. But if you are just looking at streaks, then Venus Williams also had five final losses in a row.

Yeah exactly MisterQ
...
Less interested in streaks & more interested in which players had the most disappointing/ heartbreaking losses before they retired

Obviously players like Roddick & Hewitt are still playing [also Hingis] & they may be able to recapture former glory by possibly winning onother Slam before they call it a day..
However as time passes obviously the chances of winning another Slam diminish & the memories of their Slam glories seem like a distant memory

Do you think Roddick, Hewitt or Hingis can break their current run of losing Slam Finals

Davenport really was a good chance to win all of those, esp the last two where she led by a set & a break

The common denominator with those losses was WILLIAMS!!!
...
I guess she`ll have a few regrets now, since she`s unofficially going into retirement

No. Not Martina & Lleyton. They'd have to get to a GS first and they haven't shown any indication that they are ready to do so. Roddick will win another Slam though. He's still only 24

Also how about Agassi ? Did he not lose a number of times to the nearly GOAT Sampras in the 90's? I know he lost when he should have won the 2002 US Open That was heartbreaking. Physically he was superior, but mentally Sampras had the edge

Lendl doesn`t quite qualify because he did go on to win the Aussie Open in 89 & 90
...
However thanks for the post .. Yeah Lendl`s record at the USO was truly phenomenal~~> being in the final there 8-successive years is just insane
...
Pity for Ivan that he lost 5 / 8 finals however.. And apart from the 1984 final all the others were really close~> esp 88 & 89 were absolute corkers

Whoops. Sorry, I did it by event rather than time frame. But I think Lendl surely has the most loses in GS Finals.

Agassi lost his first 3-Slam finals
...
1990 FO
1990 USO
1991 FO
....
Imagine how much more formidable his record would look if he had won some of them
Also playing Sampras in 5-Slam finals is pretty tough, plus playing Rafter at the Wimby SFs three years in succession [1999-2001]
...
Some people reckon Agassi was lucky to win 8-Slams, however he reached more Slam Finals, Semi-Finals & QFs than any other player in the history of the game
...
With a bit more luck [draws etc.] &/or playing in another era Andre would have won 12-15 Slams

Do you deliberately go out of the way to make outlandish claims. The guy had 20 years of easy draws at RG, is that not enough fortune.

Slam finals count and he didn't make 19 of them did he? But you are becoming more an Agassi fanboy with time.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
