Xavier Malisse- What's His Problem?

What's the X-Man's problem? He's so talented and yet he rarely achieves anything. His ground strokes are good, especially his punishing forehand, his serve is decent, and yet he constantly loses to players he should be thumping. Does he struggle mentally? Because I saw him at the Australian Open against Clement and in a match he should have easily won, he was beaten comfortably in 4 sets. He was all over the place that night too. It was a late game because of the heat during the day, so the match started at about 11:30pm. He argued calls, he threw his racquet twice, he was angry with the ballkids, and he played so average. His head seemed elsewhere.

He always seems depressed to me, rarely does he smile and get excited over his tennis. What do you think his problem is?

Nothing new here with Malisse.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Machado wins 6-2 6-1
