Ljubicic said no to Dubai!

http://www.net.hr/sport/page/2007/01/17/0003006.html

Organisators were offering him huge money to come there, but he refused because he promissed to show up on exhibition in Sarajevo that week.
"I don't want to say how much they offered me, but it was over 100.000 dollars"- he said. The exhibition is in Bosnia, Ljubo was born there, in Banja Luka, and he didn't want do dissapoint them with not showing up, so he reject it.
Nice to keep the promises

That's a great gesture indeed. So there are still players around for whom the money isn't everything.

Am I still alive? I'm still f*cking ... Here...!"

People who publicly brag about their ability to reject the almighty dollar (and actually give the dollar amount) are classless and arrogant.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Well obviously Ljubicic is arrogant, the way he goes around slagging off other players is really classy.

Re: Ljubicic said no to Dubai!

Nice gesture, especially when you take into account what happened to the region in 90s. Don't bitch him, for sure he rejected the possibility of gaining much more money
