Without cheating take my test...

Apologies if you don't like the questions, but they are off the top of my head.

1. Where was Henri Leconte born?

2. What was the exact score when Sampras won his first ever Grand Slam title.

3. Who held a matchpoint against Lendl at Wimbledon 1988 before eventually losing.

4. In what round was the above match?

5. How old was Lendl when he won his first Grand Slam?

6. What was the name of the Italian that beat Ivanisevic at Queens in the year he won Wimbledon?

7. Who beat Ivanisevic in his last competitive singles match at Wimbledon?

8.In the last 2 years, at which tournaments did Federer lose after squandering match points?

Oh well am sure someone will and then complain about the questions being too easy, given the levels of tennis knowledge frequently flaunted here.

I can answer 6 and 7...probably 8 as well. I don't know enough about the earlier days to answer 1-5

Yeah I am showing my age.

It might take Sjengster or GWH to get all 8.

Re: Without cheating take my test...

Can answer the Lendl ones -

3. Mark Woodforde

4. 4th round

5. 24

I think for me the most talented of all times was (Marcelo) Rios. Marat Safin, 2004

Marcelo has an enormous talent. Gaudio, RG champion 2004

"Rios ... he has a beautiful game, great forehand and great touch," Federer, World number 1

Nicolas Perreira played Lendl in a 5 setter in 89, but he didn't have a match point.
