Most watchable

Probably been done before but hey...

I've put down some of the guys I enjoy watching for various reasons.

(not on the poll but special mentions to Santoro and Malisse).

"My greatest point is my persistence. I never give up in a match. However down I am, I fight until the last ball. My list of matches shows that I have turned a great many so-called irretrievable defeats into victories."

You will burn in hell for not actually including Santoro in the poll, although you mention him.

Re: Most watchable

Everybody wants to see nadal for one of the 2 following reasons. EVERYBODY!

1-theyre his fans and want to see what more he'll bring to the game
2-theyre people waiting for him to lose because they know he's less vunerable than he seems

Re: Most watchable

we all know who will win this poll, right?

But I enjoy watching Nadal, Nalbandian and Baggy. They are spectacular.

Other than Tursunov I enjoy watching everyone in that poll a great deal. Santoro should definately be there.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

Re: Most watchable

Safin on clay.

Federer/Haas/Gasquet/Santoro on hard courts.

Murray/Nadal/Monfils absolutely never.

Kirilenko always.

Sharapova before she was turned 17. (Can I be arrested for that?)

Re: Most watchable

Nadal for how hard he plays, and his personality
Safin, b/c he is crazy

And Federer against good players, when he plays lower ranked players, its really boring b/c he doesn't even have to try and still wins easily.

Re: Most watchable

I agree mostly with guga, except that I honestly enjoy Marat's tennis. When it's on, it is absolutely a thing of beauty. And of course, there is the "you never know what you're going to get" feature with Marat, which makes each match an adventure.

Of the list, probably the only person I don't enjoy watching at all is Berdych.

Everyone else has at least something in their game that I enjoy. I'm especially warming to Gonzalez.

You like Safin's game and not Berdych's? That makes absolutely no sense to me.

P.S. If the reason is the Madrid incident, it does make sense to me, but that's not connected to Berdych's tennis.

preference doesn't need to make sense. And it has little to do with Madrid...I've disliked him LONG before that. I think he's a jerk. He has a history of treating his opponents poory - Wimbledon being the foremost in my mind. I don't enjoy that sort of petulance.
