James Blake is the only one. There are a few other potentially dangerous matches for seeds but i think they will survive.

Ginepri might be in the best shape of his life, but his game is far from it. Almagro in 4.

Here are my guesses. Moya could very well surprise Blake....but I doubt it. I think Clement has a shot at the X man ( that consistency thing) and yes, I think Ginepri might take down Almagro.

Re: Which ones of the seeds will go out in the first round of AO?

Roger Federer v. Bjorn Phau is a deceptively competitive tie. Though Roger has 9 more slams than Phau ever will and is the undisputed world #1, one must take into consideration his terrible head-to-head record against the German: 1-0, in a match he lost 6-2, 6-3...

...when he was fresh out of puberty on his first year on tour. LOL, seriously, the only obviously competitive first round tie is Blake v. Moya, but we shouldn't gloss over ties like Safin v. Becker and Malisse v. Clement either. Clement is a veteran and Malisse is a headcase. Becker has a big serve and Safin is a headcase.

Also, I suppose we could seriously consider Acasuso v. Querrey...but I do so hate agreeing with anything that Patrick McEnroe says, so I'll just say that this one could go either way.

I see we agree on Malisse. That guy is always at risk to lose. You just never know with him.

I also agree about Patrick McEnroe. I automatically disagree with everything he says on principle.

hehe, indeed - PMc is my undisputed "King of Hyping". And I don't like players being hyped, as it usually only does damage to their careers.

Yeah, you know? I mean, I really want to pick Querrey to upset Acasuso, but I just can't bring myself to agree with P. Mac. It rocks the very foundation of my tennis conscience.
