I think he looks a hundred times better with a shaved head!

Re: Guga's Hair

Precisely the opposite, I reckon; combine that Agassi-style look (better on a short and squat player like him rather than a tall and lanky player like Guga) with his plain white clothes due to a lack of a clothing sponsor, and he's barely recognisable as the guy who won his third RG title and was world no. 1 just three years ago.

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

I don't like Guga's hair. His thick, curly hair is how tennis fans recognize him. That's his trademark. Why'd you cut it, Guga?

Re: Guga's Hair

He needs the kinky hair back. It's his signature look. I hope he's taking horse pills to make it grow back!

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Re: Guga's Hair

I think Guga looked better with the long hair. There was pictures of him on Wtaworld not long ago where he was hitting with Maria Bueno and he actually looked really gaunt and ill with the shaven head.

yes, I exactly agree with that... I also think the long thick hair suited him much better.
and we all were used to that...

one player I liked very much with a shaven head was when I saw Escudé playing in Miami. Damn, did I like his new look!
But last time I mentioned this, I did not have many supporters for that *g*

also I think that with such hairstyles the hair gets worn out and more and more filted and... damn, I don't know how to describe it in English... just want to say that the hair is totally fucked up after some time and maybe it was time for Guga to completely cut off his hair to let some new and healthy hair growing... I know some people who had cornrows or other crazy comparable hair-dos, they all had to cut it completely off if they wanted to get rid off their old hairstyle.
