- Straight sets
- Upset win against a quality opponent
- Winning two tiebreaks
- In a time of year where he doesn't traditionally do well
- Comes after a disappointing last few tournaments
- Gives his chances of an AO seeding a boost, as he has effectively defended the Qatar SF points from January this week
Look forward to the match against Delpo, I'll be pretty happy either way
PCB is going to make the WTFs without even winning a match post-US Open.
Anderson is 135 points behind PCB and I honestly don't think he'll catch up based on his current form. I doubt he'll even catch up to Querry at this rate.
Great match by Fernando, clutch when it mattered, Anderson pretty much an UE machine and kept it tight with serve, even though he didn't serve a lot of aces. Hopefully he goes past JMDP, but it will be tough.
Rough days by KAndy lately. You would think he and Querrey would likely qualify for the WTF (their probably only chances IMO), but they are struggling a bit to get there. Which begs me the question -- why is Querrey is not playing this week? He's cutting it close with 2 more chances when this week could have been a buffer week.
