Rainer Doing Better in Doubles

Schuettler/ Kiefer def. Bjorkman/Woodbridge 7-5 1-6 7-5 next meet Sargsian/Zimonjic

Haven't seen them play together, but I think the Germans are actually a good team. I hope they make the Olympics.

Other teams that moved ahead in the draw:

Grosjean/Clement
Arthurs/Hanley
Knowles/Nestor (next meet Gonzo/F.Lo)
Black/Ullyett

Re: Rainer Doing Better in Doubles

That's quite a victory. Go Rainer . Well, it's hard for me to say this but .. Go Kiefer

Drooling after Schuettler, Bolelli, Volandri, Starace (short haired version), ToJo, Tursunov, Alves, Davydenko, Djokovic, Petzschner, Ferrero, Simon, Qureshi

For me, playing better in doubles is no consolation!

He lost early in doubles last week, though

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

He and partner Kohlmann lost in 2nd round vs Nadal/Robredo, a good doubles team, IMO.

Rainer doesn't have good doubles results. It's just because his singles is so awful so far that makes the doubles look good, which is not spectacular.

Re: Rainer Doing Better in Doubles

I was really surprised they beat Bjorkman/Woodbridge!

At least Rainer won something....

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

I like to think that Todd remembered how to hold serve in one of the three sets. But, I'm more than happy to sacrifice a Jonas win, for a Rainer that hasn't been kicking much ass (except his own) lately.

Yeah, I knew who he lost to. That's why I mentioned it
