WWW? Shanghai R16: [10] Querrey vs. [6] Dimitrov

Matchup is favorable to Dimitrov, he leads 2-0 and usually can make Querrey uncomfortable pretty easily with his mixed play. In those two matches, Dimitrov broke Querrey 7 times in 5 sets, which is a quite good percent against a bot+ player, specially considering the matches were played in fast hard of Washington and grass of Queens.

But I have a bad feeling about this one, Grigor spent to much time in the court those last 7-8 days and Querrey should be very tough to break in this surface. I think Samantha will bot his way through his service makes and will take advantage from a couple of those lapses the bulgarian is prone and will take the match in two close sets.

Hopefully I'm wrong though, would be great to see a Fog vs. Dimi match in QF's.

Tennis wins either way.

Sam is a talented shotmaker and Dimi, well, a bye for Rafa in the QF would be neat

I can't see Dimitrov losing vs Querrey, unless he breaks himself with DFs.
Querrey's 2nd serve isn't really good and Dimi should have openings. Tiafoe had 9 BPs and was leading 5-0 in TB. Dimitrov won't make same mistakes me thinks.

I'm craving another DIMIdal match, so hopefully Grigor comes through. However, Sam can be imperious when serving well. If his 1st serve % is low he won't have a chance though.

Yeah, Grigor has been shaky lately, I won't be surprised if Sam won comfortably.

RAFAEL NADAL and GRIGOR DIMITROV

Rafa winning at least one slam in 10 consecutive years is the best achievement in Open Era tennis since Laver won all 4 Grand slam tournaments in the same year!

Dimitrov has to lose to save tennis, Rey needs every point nowadays to save WTF from Busta.

A sacrifice worth of Edberg Sportsmanship Award.

As I mentioned earlier, DimiGOAT's Ancestor of All Quests, i.e. the quest for Edberg Sportsmanship Award, is still very much alive and kicking. To complete it successfully first he must denadalize Shanghai draw and thus increase DelGOATro's chances of debustafying the WTF.

Or as great Bonnie Tyler would've said - we need a hero!
