WWW Shanghai R2 : [2] Federer vs. Schwartzman

No thread ?

Roger first official match since the US Open QF, it should be a really entertaining match against Diego.

H2H : Roger leads 3-0

Last Match : Roger def. Schwartzman 2-6 6-2 7-5 (Istanbul 2015)

Rafa - VEB - Fed - Sascha - Wawrinka - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Tsonga.

I will never forget the epic meltdown from Fedtards during their Istanbul match. I didn't even know you could get that upset over a QF of a 250
Hopefully DieGOAT can send them to even bigger ruins this time

I've a feeling this is gonna be tough. I think Federer will need 3 sets.

Tough luck for DieGOAT and a litmus for Federer's fitness. If he passes this test with relative ease, his chances are good. If he struggles... then it is what it is.

I think that was when Slade started complaining that everyone plays 500% against Fed.

Good times.

If Fed is rusty he's screwed.

That opening round doesn't allow for a slow start to ease himself into the tournament. Go Roger!

"The point is that to root for Federer is to root for a Platonic ideal. It is like rooting for truth. (...) Detractors who said, “Don’t you get tired of him winning all the time?” were missing the point. Every victory was a validation. No one gets bored by the sun coming up in the morning."

My culthero against my hero. Well, still rooting for the Swiss in 2 easy sets. I hope we see a fit and healthy Federer. Need him and the Spanish matador the face off at least one more time in the season ending months. Come on Roger!!

Re: WWW Shanghai R2 : [2] Federer vs. Schwartzman

Federer always have trouble in early rounds here in Shanghai

But he came to practice early here in Shanghai so he should win comfortably but Schwartzman can’t be underestimated
