NID. No way was a legend like Darcis losing a massive mug like Thompson.

Terrible team selection from Australia. Hewitt really is a dreadful captain.

Goffin made the difference

Against France however one man will not be enough

Great playing from Darcis. Weird that he only plays at this level in DC. Most other tournaments he injures himself or Mugcis suddenly appears.

Great variety, complety made Thompson mad with his slices. If Belgium would have a top doubles duo like all the other top countries have the final would be a lot easier. I can see Goffin win his 2 matches, and this Darcis can do damage to Pouille or Paire. We'll see.

Nadal - Fognini - Goffin - Shapovalov - Dolgopolov - Haas - Coppejans

Have nice life after tennis Malisse, you were a legend!

Roger Federer was highly embarrassed at Roland Garros on Sunday afternoon. And he's only himself to blame for letting his tubby fiancee Mirka sit in the stands.
Poor old Fed - he offered as much resistance to Rafael Nadal during the French Open as Mirka does when the dessert trolley appears. - The Mirror

What was Darcis doing in that final game going back to the wall in the middle of serve and hitting a ball against it.

Paire? Wasn't he suspended for life? They will field Tsonga and Pouille I think, otherwise Gasquet.

Belgium isn't a one man team. Darcis manhandled Germany's best team by himself.

I hope Belgium wins it, this is their best chance. Still, two finals in three years is a great achievement for a country without a double team.

Belgium are the new Czech's, a team on paper you would not think would do well, yet they somehow produce results.

they are way more surprising than Czechs results ever were
Czechs had a regular top 10 player like Berdych and a DC legend like Stepanek and both made a very solid doubles team

You know you just described Belgium right, Goffin top 10 player when healthy, Darcis DC legend. Don't forget outside DC Berdych was a mental midget. Belgium doubles can be iffy though, can still get results too.

De Loore and Bemelmans are decent in doubles, but both aren't specialists. And they don't stand a chance against real double teams.

Nadal - Fognini - Goffin - Shapovalov - Dolgopolov - Haas - Coppejans

Thompson was just not good enough on the big points.

Even with Hewitt literally next to him, he kept choking.
