What a stupid post.

Rather than comment on how good the match was and especially Goffin's performance, you post pathetic shit like this.

I watched a bit, Goffin was clearly better, Kyrgios serve was insane as usual and that's what kept him in the match, but wasn't enough to get the win.

So, now he will have a 5th rubber between Millman and Darcis. Hopefully both play well and this end in a 5th set TB. The best part of the DC are the drama and tier 3/tier 4 players giving their absolute best on court for their nations.

Best match of Goff since his injury. Looks promising for the remainder of the season. 22 aces on clay, incredible serving by Muffin.

Nadal - Fognini - Goffin - Shapovalov - Dolgopolov - Haas - Coppejans

The match wasn't good, only Goffin was. Kyrgios as usual only served insanely well while being completely hopeless in rallies. He only managed to win more than two points on return in 1 of Goffin's last 16 service games

Goffin said this was the best DC match of his career in the post match interview and one can only agree. Some of the best tennis I've seen him play, incredible serving. Atmosphere was incredible. Kyrgios wasn't too bad himself but on this surface he is quite simply sub par to this Goffin.

Beware the golden muffin

Exceptional serve performance from Goffin. 20 aces, 0 DF. Outserved Kyrgios in the end.

Kyrgios was untouchable on serve in the first set, with 2 second serve aces in the tie-break.

Goffin started to read the Aussie's serve and made some fine return winners from the third set onwards.

Time for Mr. Davis Cup to finish the job.

Fantastic match by both. It's been so long since David has played this well. The emotion at the end is understandable for him. Given how much this event means to him and all the frustration of the injuries piling up lately. Being able to play a full match with no issues has to be such a relief for him

Even with the H2H between these two I've never felt like kyrgios was out of his reach. He should have beaten him in Tokyo last year.

Wow, just wow! So proud of David

Hope this throws him into form for the little tennis left this season.

Unfortunately there are no stats to back it up (if there are I couldn't find them), but the way Goffin toyed with Kyrgios from the baseline in this match (especially in the last 3) was like watching a pro play against an amateur.

Ok, here are some stats: 39 to 19 baseline winners, 24 to 33 unforced errors. All in all a differential of +29 in Goffin's favour. "Hopeless in rallies" fits Kyrgios' baseline performance quite well

As usual, looks like the Goffin's tards are exaggerating about his performance. He was good, but not thaaaaat good, unless he was playing lights outs exactly in the parts of the match I wasn't watching (I mainly was watching Chelsea vs. Arsenal). I'd say he played a pretty smart match.
