Hard to say if the surface will suit him. He won some big matches in his St. Petersburg title run. But from then on was pretty inconsistent. Although it's not like he played much.

I'm guessing he will do far better this year. But it will be easier for big hitters to take him out of his comfort zone. Also, the somewhat lower bounce might disturb his strokes a bit, players who can slice well and hit through slices like Fed or Murray could exploit this.

At the same time, he should benefit a lot from the high seeding he's going to get. So him at the later stages of the big indoor T's will be a common sight. (Unless his body isn't up to the challenge and someone pulls off a Tiafoe)

He will play Vienna, Paris Masters and London Finals, if he qualifies. (I am pretty certain he will)

Indoor hard is a good surface for him. Actually besides the really slow clay, he is doing well on
all kinds of courts. In 2016 some of his best results (St Petersburg W) were on indoor hard and
he has won Montpellier this spring as well.
I would call him a contender in all indoor tournaments this year.

Precisely, after St. Petersburg he only won two matches for the rest of the indoor season.

Correct, he won two matches indoor in Stockholm in 2016. After Stockholm
he ended his season to work on fitness.

Zverev seems like he can do well on any surface, indoors or outdoors. I see no reason why he'd struggle unless he's inconsistent.

Re: How Do You Think Alexander Zverev Will Do in Indoors This Year?

Came to this post to ask: how different are now the indoor courts from the carpet era? Paris for exampled is played in temporary courts so the surface should be pretty much the same (Gerflor is the provider if i'm correct)
So if the carpet is banned, what are the courts made of?

I think he likes playing indoors and that's backed up by his results there:

St. Petersburg: W
Stockholm: SF
Montpellier: W
Rotterdam: lt. Thiem R1
Marseille: lt. Mahut R1 (hard to rate this match though, he was ill and eventually pulled out of Acapulco)
