Rafa at Cincinnati: I don't like the balls here

Sauce: https://youtu.be/69eLNm9nTPU

Some more interesting RAFA quotes: I've never found my rhythm here no? Tournament is improving every year but still not good enough. Miami I get good feelings but here I never get Good feelings here, the humidity, don't like this ball

Nothing about the "awful scheduling" though

Fan of attacking tennis

Re: Rafa at Cincinnati: I don't like the balls here

well to be fair even years ago he said he didn't like Cincinatti, in fact a lot of players complain that it's sort of out in the middle of nowhere and not being in love with the event. I would assume Nadal complaining about the balls is more in frustration of his poor performance last night, but can anyone confirm if there is something unusual about the balls they play with in Cincy???

What's up with Spanish players abusing the phrase "good feelings". Is it a direct translation of a common Spanish phrase?

As time goes by, Rafa is getting more and more grumpy in his post-loss press conferences.

It's ridiculous that he's complaining about "the tournament" -- it's really inappropriate. He's been playing this whole tour for 15 years, he should act like a pro and accept that changing conditions, different balls, weather, etc, are PART of his sport, not variables to be eliminated.

The "balls" didn't defeat Rafa Nick did!

Re: Rafa at Cincinnati: I don't like the balls here

Dull doesn't like anything about this tournament. He's so out of his muddy element here it isn't funny. It's why he could only squeeze a trophy here in his best year on the tour (which was coincidentally Federer's worst), and even then he had trouble outmaneuvering Isner's rockets.

When he met someone who feels at home on these faster courts, he lost, as usual.

Well, nadal has complained about tennis balls in just about every other tournaments.

This is neither new nor news.

I used to really enjoy Rafa's PCs when he was young and didn't care about what he said in English (i.e. I have pain here in my famous ass). He lost that carefree tendency and now he's always diplomatic in his answers, hardly making any jokes, or even showing annoyance.

Can personally confirm that's age related.
