Cincinnati QF: Ferrer def. [3] Thiem 6-3 6-3

Thiem would have beaten Ferrer had he played with a Prince racquet also.

Nice to see a better player exposing a mindless ballbasher. Ferrer is back to using his old racquet thankfully. He actually has a very good chance of winning this tournament. I hope he goes all the way.

Thiem absolutely stunk that He's 1993 born, does he wanna be grouped with those older, or the Zverev types?

Ferrer wasted last 1.5 years of his career by using that crappy racquet. Thankfully he has switched back to his older racquet. He was insanely good today.

Re: Cincinnati QF: Ferrer def. [3] Thiem 6-3 6-3

Ferrer looks like a 20 player again and Thiem is not beating those on HC, barring good match-ups like Monfils.

It was still shocking to see how dire Thiem actually was. Couldn't string together 2 decent (non-serve dominated) points in a row for the entirety of the match.

no he didnt. He played a fine match, with most UE's coming after already long rallies.

Ferrer played one of the better matches of his career.

lol at the groundstoke speeds.

bresniks only motto "bash as hard as you can even if its out" seems to pay off, you can clearly see that in the numbers........ oh my.......... those courts kill thiem

Hard not to like Ferrer. As for Thiem, well he still has time on his hands.

What do those stats even mean?

Pretty sure there were way more points than 7 with 5 or more shots.

15W 33UE is a poor match on HC for a guy with his weapons, even if he's a clay courter first and foremost.

I just gave you context to those stats. The rally quality and serving of his was great, Ferrer was just too good.
