This would be possibly the most surprising development of 2017.

If he somehow can find the form he had in Australia, then I would say yes.

I would like it for him but my worry is he is too chaotic himself...

Well not having the needed level might be an impediment unfortunately...

You'd think Baby Fed would be an opportunist, but he'll find a way to lose matches to mugs, that's a given.

Re: Will Dimitrov rise in this current chaos of ATP?

I feel there's a lot of people who think Grigor is some young, promising up-and-comer but he's 26 years old. He's shown us he's capable of playing at a high level (such as in Australia this year) but he's not been able to replicate that on a consistent basis

My Faves
Kei Nishikori Stan Wawrinka Juan Martin del Potro Igor Sijsling Pablo Cuevas Jerzy Janowicz Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Ernests Gulbis Nick Kyrgios Denis Shapovalov
FLORIAN "FUNKY FLO" MAYER

Roger Federer = GOAT. Nobody else even comes close.

At least you would hope that he'd join Sascha and Domi among the U-Cilic players this year to have significant runs.

Re: Will Dimitrov rise in this current chaos of ATP?

I mean he was close last year at Cincy, granted it was a weak tournament with tired players/withdraws but this year is even weaker still. Something close to his AO level should be enough, masters there for the taking.

If the question was implying slightly longer term including USO, then no I doubt it. But a great chance to win Cincy. If nothing else he has a very healthy and athletic tennis body, seems unlikely he'll join everyone else on the operating table.
