Vintage Clownrer to be shit for ages because he played with the wrong racquet, would have never dropped out of the top 15 otherwise.

He has definitely been playing much better recently.

I have a, shall we say, morbid personality.

Yeah, the commentators mentioned that he was playing with a blacked-out stick, probably his old Wilson. I assume that he did a Davydenko, i.e., he switched rackets because of a lucrative endorsement deal. But because he played lousy with the new racket, he switched back, keeping all Wilson logos hidden because of legal issues.

Great to see David play good tennis again. Let's enjoy it as long as it lasts... I have tremendous respect for him.

But how long ago did he use Wilson? I am not a Ferrer follower but I seem to remember him being one of few players using Prince

Ferrer is on the roll. Should be a very interesting match against Thiem.

I don't know. I was just repeating what the commentator said.

He even said a couple of months ago the reason he was playing badly is nothing a doctor could fix, lol.

King Vulture targeting Top 10 again whilst everyone else is injured at the end of the year. Dimitrov coming for Top 5. Tour shook.

Start of 2016 apparently was when he first switched to a supposedly more powerful racket, but at the expense of control.

Waving Wilson magic one point at a time

KEI all the way!!!

Get well soon buddy, all the best for 2018

He played with Wilson before Prince, but that was probably more than ten years ago. So I reckon he is back to his Prince frame.

Ferrer never declined, it's all the rackets fault. He'll be back to where he belongs really soon. Top 8 next year vamos

You are most probably right. I found this about Ferrer's blacked out racquet What is David Ferrer's Blacked-Out Racquet . Here we can see Ferrer play with Wilson around 2002-2004. Then he switched to Prince, Babolat and now probably a Wilson according to the poster. The red butt cap is a giveaway.
