It was MC 2005, probably the best tournament of his career, beating Davydenko and peak Federer and then pushing Nadal to 3 sets at his best tournament aside from RG. I remember watching the highlights of that match, his FH looked pretty decent back then, don't know what happened later on in his career that resulted in his current forehand.
