Year End #3?

Who finishes #3 behind Fedal?

3-Thiem - 3345
4-Cilic - 2905
5-Zverev - 2755 (3165 if he wins DC)
6-Murray - 2290
7-Berdych - 1995 (2155 if he wins Los Cabos)
8-Dimitrov - 1970
9-Goffin - 1945
10-Nishikori - 1785 (2195 if he wins DC)
11-Raonic - 1785 (2195 if he wins DC)

My prediction is Thiem, but really anyone who takes advantage of the current situation to win a big event or have a few big runs can do it.

Re: Year End #3?

Thiem has a slight lead but I would imagine Zverev and Cilic prefer the faster/indoor/lower bounce conditions of the rest of the season more than Dominic does, so I'd say Cilic or Zverev.

Re: Year End #3?

i have a strange feeling that zeverv will do it. he is able to be quite consistent on 3 surfaces( a title on hard, 2 titels on clay and was decent on grass)) while thiem wasn't impressive after the RG, cilic almost always flops on masters(2 sf's in his entire career) and 2017ray is just not good enough espiclay on non slam events

Re: Year End #3?

I'd say Cilic, but who knows with him. The guy is a living question mark.

Second half of 2016 saw him winning Cinci and nothing else after that. Could easily trade blows with Alex and lose the 3rd spot to him.

Not too confident to talk about Sir Andy just yet.

Re: Year End #3?

Could be anyone. Still a lot of points to be distributed until the end of the year (1 GS, 4 Masters and WTF), and with Djokovic and Wawrinka out, Murray and Clic injured, Fedal unlikely to play (and if they play, to win) everything, someone will have to win the points.

My guess is Zverev, however. He should take advantage of the situation.

Re: Year End #3?

Probably Thiem.

This life, which had been the tomb of his virtue and of his honour, is but a walking shadow; a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Re: Year End #3?

Most likely Thiem. Maybe Zverev if he does well at the USO.

Re: Year End #3?

Thiem , probably like rest of the season he will play every week and even if he don't progress well, just by current advantage he have over Cilic and point accommodated by more no. of tournament, he will prevail as 3

There are about 20 players within 2000 points. Anything can happen. FWIW it could be Querrey.
