The very definition of winning ugly. David is so freaking ff his best. That injury break has completely thrown him off.he has no timing whatsoever, he's leaking errors. That first Set was quite honestly the worst I've ever seen him. He raised his game enough in sets 2 and 3 to win but just barely. In the 3rd set he was 3-6 and 6-7 down but managed to fend off all 4 match points. I honestly have no idea how he won but I'm Proud of him for getting this out. haase will routine him playing like this though

Believe I mentioned that .To be fair to albot David actually played pretty well down match points, he controlled every one f those points. The errors Albot made were a result of being dragged around court and being forced to hit shots from tough positions.

Wow, that was tight. And won both tiebreaks 9-7 :worship:

So no improvement since Umag.

I wouldn't expect Goffin to be back at 100% before early 2018. Oh well, if he can vulture some points, stay in the top 16 and keep that seeding Im happy. Goffin is not Isner his game is complicated and it takes time for him to play himself into form. If I was him I'd play a NA challenger before the masters. Historically winning challengers and the like have been a good way for him to get into confidence and form

Choosing the the surface that derailed his season. Wonder if he thinks building confidence would be best on the surface he last played well at. This match was painful to watch, he's struggling big time.

first time one should admit without watching one point of the match - that has to be a massive choke. Has to be.

You can't get yourself into a third set TB, means - uber tight match, he wins one point, you win one....get to *6-3 in the TB, then get another MP and lose it all?

I don't even want to watch this, gets me frustrated already...
