Stanimal's odds are extremely low for a defending champion, but should be even lower.

Vitez *Sir Novak Djokovic - King of the Asia-Pacific Region
Sorry to tell you that mate.

Re: USO Betting Odds: Federer and Nadal clear #1 and #2 favorites

Wawrinka should be higher than Djokovic and Murray at least. Both Murray and Djokovic are not exactly in form and their past USO records are not spectacular.

If I had to make the odds, it would be:

Federer around 20%
Nadal around 15%
Stan around 10%
Cilic around 10%

and the rest....don't see Djokovic and Murray going far.

Re: USO Betting Odds: Federer and Nadal clear #1 and #2 favorites

wawrinka has knee issue that's why he lost in R1 in wimbledon and he is 32.5 years old. doubt he will be a contender unfortunately.
If it's not Roger or Rafa, maybe Zverev or Cilic con do some damage, perhaps delpotro if he rediscovers the form he had in the olympics but got doubts as well.
It's Roger and Rafa to lose.
Nishikori will be monitored cause he always made nice deep runs in this slam
Thiem and Raonic have close to 0% chance of winning it. Thiem overplayed and is mainly a clay court specialist and raonic is a non factore outside of grass.
Think ROgers's level will be a little bit worst than in Indian wells but better than in wimbledon cause there is no bounce issue on ROS for taking ball early contrary to grass
there is little chance also roger and rafa will be in same side of the draw

Federer and Nadal the favorites seems fair to me. The rest are all close together chance-like for the win.

You could be sure nothing is wrong with Stan Wawrinka . He will be in great form . Cilic as well. I do not know why Zverev has such a rating when he has not reach QF yet in any GS level. Cilic did a huge Mistake in F . He cried too early and i did not understand why .

Re: USO Betting Odds: Federer and Nadal clear #1 and #2 favorites

Cilic should be higher.

He's on form. He's won it before. and he's the youngest among the top competitors.

I'd favor Cilic to win USO if not for Federer.

Re: USO Betting Odds: Federer and Nadal clear #1 and #2 favorites

This time around Cilic will have no excuse for a mental breakdown. If he hasn't learned to avoid getting foot blisters (better shoes, maybe?) by the time USO rolls around, he will need to tough it out or get out.

Cilic is going to get punishment after his fiasco in Final of Wimbledon. Plus there is more things to him because he is followed a long time. If i have noticed then many others from the game have done as well. In 2015 in SF at USO against Djokovic he played like he is #600 even worse. 60 61 62. Then this year in Acapulco against Rafa in SF 61 62 with MTO' for his foot again. What really is going on with Cilic?! When he plays Fed he gives everything but when he plays Djokovic,Nadal,Stan or Murray he is not like that. The same is with Berdych,Ferrer. Raonic,
Berdych is not bad player at all. In fact i like his matches with Federer and some other guys.

The worst offender is actually clownfils.
He is at 200% whenever playing Federer, but suddenly think he is a real clown at circus and act like one whenever playing Nole and Nadal.

Berdych and Tsonga used to be the same until Federer started to get annoyed and got real and taught them tennis lessons until now.

Re: USO Betting Odds: Federer and Nadal clear #1 and #2 favorites

For me it's:

Federer - 25%
Nadal - 20%
Murray - 15% (assuming he is healthy)
Djokovic - 15% (assuming he is healthy and plays)
Wawrinka, Thiem, Raonic, Cilic, Zverev, Berdych - altogether 15% with no-one really standing out
10% - rest of field

Federer - Thiem - Wawrinka - Del Potro - Dimitrov - Shapovalov

Agree with the first four, but all the others should be below 1%.

Perhaps he forgot the script. It happens.

monfils recently admitted he has a mental caveat vs Nole but not versur Rafa and Roger.
concerning Tsonga he is giving 100% vs Roger but also vs Djokovic and Nadal (AO 08 vs Nadal) RG12 vs Djokovic who was a great match by the way despite Tsonga choking huge after 4 MP's
