Going for Gasquet, would like it he wins it. Just for his backhand.

If Djokovic doesn't win this it won't be that surprising. This is a surface that he's very likely to get upset if he's not adjusted

Querreys draw to the semis.

querrey was playing well in queens but ran into an inform muller. i'll take him to win this. djokovic has a rough draw just to make the final. based on his level this year and the fact that its his first event on grass i dont think he'll get there.

zverev from the bottom half is my 2nd pick

Have to go with my home boy Sam Querrey for this. He's the only one who played well enough to win a final this year, beating Nadal no less, showing that on a good day he can be just as good as Federer.

The only stern opposition I see for Querrey is obviously big John Isner, but I didn't like how easily Isner went down in Queens. That level won't do.

With these two as favourites and the dependable Johnson also lurking in the draw I think it's safe to say an American will bring this title home.

Tomorrow we'll know who is Novak playing in R2. Either way, both Vesely and Pospisil could be tricky opponents.

I'm looking forward to see how he adapts to the grass.

Gasquet's ballstriking is so-so, to say the least. He has one the worst forehands in top 100 and 90% of his backhands are defensive. Still better than these typical grasscourters like Lopez, Mahut, Muller, Karlovic who slice and can't hit top spin shots, though.

Obviously Novak, if he takes things seriously will win this tournament, no problem.

The only obstacle for him are Pepe Imaz and Pepe's entourage from Novak's family.

I realize this is a big "if" given Novak's 12-month string of mediocrity, but if Novak wins Eastbourne, it'll be a big confidence boost, even though it's just a 250. There are a heckuva lot of good grass-courters in the draw: Isner, Johnson, Querrey, M. Zverev, Gasquet, and Anderson. If Novak crashes out, then it's the same old same old we've seen from Novak. But if he wins, it's a good sign. I'm not saying he's a lock to win Wimbledon, or even get to the final, but at least he's on the right track.

You'd think Djokovic would be the favourite for this but considering how he's been playing this year...

Wouldn't surprise me if he lost to Querrey again, if they meet. Hell, any of the big hitters in the top half could defeat him, if they play well.

As for the winner...I'll say Querrey has his usual random run of form and takes the trophy. Why not?

Djokovic to lose to Isner in the final.

I guess the obvious pick would be Djokovic but there are a surprising amount of big servers on his side of the draw, wouldn't be shocked if he gets upset. I guess I'll go with Isner, hard to say really
