Blake had a great opportunity to win the first match in career (ATP) after saving a match point

This match was little more than an exhibition. James knows the big one is tomorrow. At least Robredo redeemed himself by winning a match.

Re: Robredo def. Blake 6-2 3-6 7-5

Good for Robredo that he didnt end the tourney without any wins, but waste of energy for Blake. Well at least nobody can claim that James didnt try or that he tanked. Good luck tomorrow against Nalby.

Re: Robredo def Blake 6-3 2-6 7-5

Blake what was he doing? Extending the match like that after losing the first set, he should have tanked! Sportsmanship OK but noone would blame him for letting Tommy get the W.

Tommy got one win at least.

I doubt Blake went out and cruised through it...he has always struggled against this type of opponent. It would have been good practice for him to actually win the match.

Nice to see Robredo notch a win. Nice to see that Blake didn't tank, even if it was clear that he was giving a bit less than 100% effort. Let's hope that Blake didn't waste too much energy so that the match vs. Nalbandian is high quality.

Nice to see nobody goes home empty-handed this year.

Blake and his braindead tennis
should have tanked and lost in 2
but instead he tried to win and still lost

Happy that Tommy wins a match at TMC! So no 0-3 players this year in RR competition!

Hopp Rogi! Go Gonzo! Allez Gasquet!
