I wouldn't blame Nalbandian at all if he couldn't really compete fully now. Roddick will probably win. On the other hand, maybe the sad news will somehow inspire (I don't know if that's the right word) Nalbandian to win, kind of like what happened with Pete Sampras at the Australian Open in 1995.
Thanks for being respectful guys and not using despective names for Nalbandian.
Without this disaster I didn't have to much hope about Nalby's winning. Less now, except this acts like somekind of last straw and Nalbo reacts to his goldson's dead, with fury. In that case, a pissed off Nalbandian is the most stronger player of both. But from what I read, he's totally numb right now.
This is a request, as I said this at another thread, I'm not saying not to talk about tennis or even if he plays horrible tomorrow don't say it. But, I know it can be fun for some people, but for respect to the player, and even to his fans, just don't call him Fat Dave or similar despective days, at least these couple of days, okay?
I hope Andy wins, but I feel so sad for Nalbandian such tradegy , it is very sad

I think it would have made more sense for him to withdraw and fly out today. He is not going to be in a fit state to do himself justice in the match. I assume death in the family is a permissible reason to withdraw.
In normal circumstances yes, but these are not normal circumstances.
Fair point, but we still don't know yet what sort of impact the death of his cousin will have on his performance. He chose not to withdraw for a reason; who knows which Nalbandian will come out and play tomorrow.
