Blake is the "Real No.2"

After last nights match in giving Nadal a good schooling it clearly shows that Blake is the real "no.2" player out there. 5 titles this year he has beaten all variety of opposition bar Federer. He owns the tour bar Fed. Clearly he is the world's "no.2"

Well played blake!

Re: Blake is the "Real No.2"

Surely you are not contending that nobody can beat Blake but Roger? Need I remind you of his less than inspiring performance against Mirnyi? Or Misha in DC? Blake DOES NOT own the rest of the tour. Roger does. Bar Rafa.

It's just you don't want to have a lot of expectations, because when you start to have a lot of expectations you just end up losing in the third round to God knows who. ~Marat Safin, summarizing his career

Re: Blake is the "Real No.2"

As much as I like Blake, peaking mostly for Mickey Mouse events doesn't in any way mean pwning the rest of the tour, and neither does 'schooling' Nadal, as others have done it this year too (which could imply that JCF is the world No. 2 also as he defeated Nadal in straights)

Re: Blake is the "Real No.2"

And Rafa is the real #1 I suppose (because of his HTH with Fed).

That makes Federer the real #3.

Re: Blake is the "Real No.2"

All credit to Blake for the first win, and I love him too, but he's got to go a little bit further than he has to really be considered world #2 IMO. Personally, I'd love to see that happen- we'll see in '07.
