Rome R3 Cilic def. Goffin 6-3 6-4

On one end thats pretty disappointing. david had a real shot at the final here. But he just looked so tired here all week, pretty sure he got through his first 2 rounds on fumes. this'll be good for him to get some rest now and recharge for the french open.

credit to cilic. he played really well

Wow. What a fair, concise summation of the match. No insults, no 'mugffin', not even any mocking. This must not be MTF.

David Goffin looks in urgent need of rest - see him at RG, where he will do fine hopefully.

Marin Cilic looks in ominous form for the grass season.

"The point is that to root for Federer is to root for a Platonic ideal. It is like rooting for truth. (...) Detractors who said, “Don’t you get tired of him winning all the time?” were missing the point. Every victory was a validation. No one gets bored by the sun coming up in the morning."

Muffin losing in straight sets from Cilic on clay :') :') :') :')

Cilic to hopefully take out the trash (cowarderer/resterer) in Wimby

Hopefully Goffin didn't grind himself into injury and it's only the fatigue that built up. Good loss for him. He needs to catch his breath before RG.

I've only seen the last 2 games, but I reckon Marin played pretty well. He also has a decent chance against the out-of-form Wawrinka and even better one against Isner.

Not often I say this but Cilic was the lesser of two evils here.

Re: Rome R3 Cilic def. goffin 6-3 6-4

Nobody taking Marin seriously for the FO. But he prefers bo5 system and the competition is weaker than ever.

Back to Rome. QF will be wide open. Isner is a good match up for him and out of form Wawa isn't a favorite really. I remember Cilic gifting Wawrinka the match in Geneva last year on clay. Wawrinka is in the same form as last year in Geneva - that being "meeeh", while Cilic looks much much better.

As long as Marin doesn't play one of those random 50UE+ matches, he has a good chance of going very deep here.

It's all PR... Someone started talking about Coric and now you guys believe he's so wonderful kid, his highest ranking - 84, Dzumhur highest ranking - 87. The same actually. Difference? Coric made it via wildcards - to Basel for example, Dzumhur had to reach it by hard work, on qualies, challengers.
