Rome R2: Fognini def. Murray 6-2 6-4

Fabio you beast. Overall quite a composed performance from him despite not being able to serve it out at 5-2 in the second.

As for Murray... well the top player that draws Andy in RG won't exactly be shaking in his boots. The guy is terrible at the moment.

This is the best non-Nadal performance of the year.
Great celebration too, sucking the thumb

Fabio was clayGOATing for 90% of the match with the exception of hiccup @ 5-2 in 2nd.

Murray was dire.

Just as I predicted, a straight sets loss. Fognini is playing solid clay court tennis while Murray is in a huge slump. The result was expected and never in doubt.

Murray is horrible all-around. Don't expect him to do anything on grass either.

Re: Rome R2: Fognini def. Murray 6-2 6-4

Fognini pretty solid. Not necessarily spectacular throughout, the second set he was just solid. The one thing Fognini did great today were those dropshots. jesus, Murray didn't read them at all

concerning for Murray. way way too passive tennis from him and he honestly doesn't look that fast lately. Maybe a confidence problem but pretty concerning. It's fortunate for him that he'll be able to rely on serving a bit at WImbledon because his groundgame may not be even top 20 lately

Starting a choke attempt just to serve it out in the most routine fashion posssible, classic Fog. Epic performance, hardly possible to play better than him for one set an a half.
