Well, that's unfortunate for Kei. As for Novak, it's good that he's in the semi but I'm not sure he's ready for good Nadal on clay - match against Nishikori would be a test for him. Anyway let's see how Nadal plays today.
Get well soon Kei.
I kinda like it this way, healthy Kei would probably beat Nole in this form and we wouldn't get Nadal - Djokovic clash. Hopefully, Nole finds his motivation once he sees Rafa on the other side of the net.

Nishikori was intimidated before even playing. What a laugh.
Annoying, because Djoko needs all the practice he can get. He would never lose to Nishikori, but would play a great practice match so it's a shame that Novak missed that opportunity as it leaves him with some rust to clear off.
Should have opted out and let Ferrer have this spot, but he was selfish.
Not that surprising. A lot of his shots felt forced this tournament, especially the serve. He wasn't playing with fluidity or confidence, he semi-ballbashed his way past Diego and Ferrer but it's not sustainable. Hopefully he doesn't come back until he's 100%, but given his history I doubt he has the patience to wait. Might wanna grab some cheap points in the clay season (which he can do even when not fully fit) and then rest during the grass season.
