So now Hrbaty will face Davydenko in the final- Hrbaty is more solid mentally but Davydenko has the better strokes particularly on serve. Should be an interesting match.

Haas felt lightheaded and faint had to retire.

Oh crap. I was waiting for lunch then heading up to watch it It is all about timing. Congrats to Hrbarty, hope Haas isn't badly injured and hopefully Davey will win tomorrow. And for James
Edit- thanks Ron for the info re Haas.

Dunno. Towards the end of the first set he called the medic dude over and they talked for a bit and he went out and played for a bit and then retired.

Blake in the Masters Cup Hrbaty def. Haas 6-4 1-0 retired

Got to say the truth about Tommy Haas is he hasn't grown up yet. The childish immaturity was incredible. Screaming profanities in German, throwing his racket, complaining about little things like a red light. Haas has shown his true colours once again. James Blake is smiling right now in the USA. James now knows he will finish the year in the top 10. James's got to be happy he played decent tennis this year and now he has a shot at glory and a nice pay cheque. As for Haas he once again acts like a big crybaby and cracks under the pressure. I honestly don't think they was anything physical wrong with Tommy I think it was mental. Tommy is a very mentally weak man and he is very very emotionally fragile.

Woohoo, OCngratulations, James, you're in!

Sorry Tommy had to lose that way. But I'm so glad James is in. He'd better take full advantage of it.

He said he felt "lightheaded" and his "muscles were really heavy".

Haas had low blood sugar he said. Thus the cause of his lightheadedness. Part of me thinks he must have really been feeling badly to not give it a go, but I wonder if it was nerves, too.

Good luck to Nikolay in the final.
