Will Nadal go 5 out of 5 this clay season?

I am well aware that he didn't manage this in his peak but could have easily done in 2010 had he not decided to skip Barcelona. Before going into much details, let's look through potential threats:

1) Djokovic - Has beaten RAFA the most on clay (7 times)

2) Stanimal - A big wildcard and extremely inconsistent performer. Has beaten RAFA only once on the surface in 2015 but this RAFA is much better so it'll be an interesting matchup on clay.

3) Murray - Not exactly a big threat but he could potentially end the streak at Madrid where RAFA plays like crap often.

4) Rest of the field - Some mug catches fire ala Soderling and plays at 1000% against an off day RAFA.

I think he has a great chance to go 5/5 provided:
1) The matches are short, maybe 1 three setter in the two masters
2) Knee or the wrist doesn't bother him like in the past. In other words, he remains healthy.

Thoughts?

Nadal's tie is't as easy as rest of the clay tournament .He first have to face fognini , also in his quarter there are Kyrgios, Goffin too , and in his half possible timebomb Nole waiting to survive rest of the mug to face nadal. even if he knocked out , then still Tsonga , Monfils, Nishikori could really taste him .

Yeah I know he got screwed in Madrid but still he is the King of Clay and looks to be on good form. Fognini hasn't beaten him since 2015 even though they met a few times after that year, Kyrgios on clay is hardly dangerous since servebotting is easily neutralized on clay, Goffin isn't mentally strong enough. The only threat will be Djokovic and I feel the matchup needs to happen before RG so that he can crush Djokovic to gain back the mental advantage he always had before.

Re: Will Nadal go 5 out of 5 this clay season?

I don't think it will happen. But if Nadal wins Madrid, who knows? The only three players who can stop him in Rome or Roland Garros are Djokovic, Wawrinka and Federer.

The only tournament that truly matters to Nadal is Roland Garros, though. He needs to win it, or his season is fucked.

I advice every Nadal fan who has a big mouth at MTF to rent a cabin in the woods after Roland Garros. Because if Nadal fucks it up, the shitstrom you will all face will be enormous. You better hide for serveral months, or you will probably be in ruins forever.

at Federer beating RAFA at RG

Don't worry. We are RAFA fans not gloryhunting tards. We'll stay through his failures, when he is down and needs support

On the other hand, you haters be prepared when RAFA bites the RG trophy for the 10th time because the shitstorm coming at you will also be equally enermous

Which of the remaining three do you see him not winning? I am assuming Madrid since that has been his weak CC tournament for his lofty standards.

Re: Will Nadal go 5 out of 5 this clay season?

If Nadal doesn't have to face Federer in RG, he has a big chance to go 5 out of 5.

Who else gonna challenge him?
Dramatically declined Nole and Murray?
Super inconsistent Wawrinka?
Gen Useless? Lol.
Gen Next with defeatist attitude?
One Gen Next with the right attitude but whose game is much less effective on clay?
The Spanish armada and their conquered Latin America brigade?
The clownish French?

Good for Nadal that he's able to vulture the titles. He has had a lot of practice.

Right.
I remember someone disappeared or requested voluntary ban the moment after Nadal was brutalized by Federer. Three times.

Typical Pocahontas fangirls terrible logical deduction and reasoning.

Rafa is THE favorite to win RG this year. I think majority MTF members agree with this.
So, when Rafa bites the RG trophy for the tenth time, it will be EXPECTED, and not a surprise.
On the other hand, if he doesn't win it, it will be a BIG SURPRISE, considering the only player reign Supreme over him doesn't give a shit about clay, and the rest, well, shall we say that the level of clay tennis this year has been abysmal, to say the least (if not the lowest level of clay tennis since the Open era, relatively speaking).
Nadal's version from any other previous years would have swept clay titles this year no problem.

Let me rewrite in simple words for you to understand:
There will be shit storm if Nadal doesn't win RG because he is the favorite and expected to win it.
