Re: Young def. Reynolds 2-6 6-3 6-4

I was there, I saw the match from 5-2 in the 2nd until the end, I felt so sorry for Bobby He was having a hard time, later he lost the doubles in an absolutely amazing match TB. Really in the 3rd set Bobby played one loose service game, and then he was unable to break Donald, Bobby didn't play the big points well and that's why he lost.

But I noticed Donald was playing better than the other time I saw him, Cincy qualies 2005 I think, when he lost to Okun 2-6, 2-6. Less DFs for sure.

Let's wait until Young is older than 17.3 years to pass final judgment. No guarantees he works out as a top-tier player, but given that he's taken longer than other top juniors to fill out, chances are he'll continue to improve.

It's not his fault the USTA had unrealistic expectations for him and showered wildcards on him before he was ready.

Re: Young def. Reynolds 2-6 6-3 6-4

Its funny how people are saying Donald Young isn't good when the boy is ONLY SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD. Geesh some really mean spirited and harsh critics on this board. Of course they forget Young last year was the no.1 junior in the WORLD at the age of 16. And he won the Australian Open juniors at the age of 15. A lot of racist bigots on this board picking on Donald Young because he's a talented black teeenager that does things his own way. If Young was a white boy I doubt he would be getting this harsh criticism.

Conversely, if Young was a white boy, no one would have taken any notice of him in the first place.

Please spare us... Nobody is having a dig at DY because of the colour of his skin but because of his game(or lack of it from what I have heard...) and the fact that he gets so much hype for doing so very little. Before you start playing the race card please look around you...nobody has dealt it yet.

Don't be such a tool. I don't care if he's blue, chinesse, yellow, gay or american. Arrogant behaviour and overhype without results is what i despise
