Monte Carlo R3: Djokovic def Careno Busta 6-2 4-6 6-4

Disappointed at Novak's level ....

He couldn't score a point from a volley no matter what scenario was or his position was .. just awful ....

Had 4-2 40-15 .. tried exhibition shot and got broken after two miss-shots at the net. And what drove me crazy was that he was always hitting Careno (or Careno was great in anticipating Novak's shots all the time ).

And this was opponent against whom Novak is supposed to has matchup advantage ..... It was really sad watching

PCB blew up that break point at 40-15...

Congratulate Rafa on an amazing comeback. I don’t think either of us would believe we would be in the Final of the Australian Open when we saw each other at your academy 4 or 5 months ago . I’m happy for you. I would have been happy to lose too. The comeback was perfect as it was. Tennis is a tough sport, there is no draws. If there’s gonna be one, I would have been happy to accept it tonight and share it with Rafa really.

Really can't wait for the SF to pay back the debts in the last 2 years

Great match and the "right" winner in the end cause I don't think PCB would've had much left in the tank for tomorrow after that effort. Djokovic should take care of Goffin with ease now.

Djokovic is back! struggling in the early stages then destroys everyone in the latter stages. I expect him to have easier matches in the SF and final. I don't see Goffin with his basic game troubling Novack.

This is your second warning .. be careful what you wish for !!!

Only seeing Rafa across the net can rejuvenate Novak. He only needs to smell Rafa's blood and he will turn into hunter mode immediately

Re: Monte Carlo R3: Djokovic def Careno Busta 6-2 4-6 6-4

Busta blew a massive opportunity at 15-40 on Djokovic's last service game...and then he gets himself broken and loses the match. You can't get more typical than that.

Djokovic is looking poor too. Expect him to lose a lot of ranking points in the next month and a half.

LET'S GO!!

WORLD TOUR FINALS: 1 TITLE, 3 semi-finals...

OLYMPICS: 2 gold medals, 1 silver...
DAVIS CUP: 1 TITLE, 1 semi-final, 1 quarter-final...
WORLD #1: 29 weeks and counting...
MATCH WIN/LOSS: 647-180...
TITLES: 45 and counting...

Exho level performance from Novak. Luckfin will bagel this douche in straights tomorrow

I watched only the 3rd set. Novak played solid until 4-2 - his ground strokes were deep and aggressive. But at that moment a different Novak appeared - too many smiles and too little concentration. It's great that he won another tight match but he certainly isn't in the zone tennis wise. Goffin is next - Novak should maintain his focus for the entire match this time or he'll be out.

be careful.......many times the guy than is playing worst and suffering in all the matches, is the champion.

djokovic played against very hard players and pushers like simon and carreño, now he will face goffin, another player with very regular baseline game, he should has very good rhytm for an hipotetical nadal match and he always is super motivated when he faces nadal, raising his level a lot.

it´s sad how you need than novak is in a very poor form.......IT´S THE PROOF THAT IN GOOD LEVELS, NOLE IS SUPERIOR THAN HIM.

Novak should've finished this set 6-2 ..... After wining that magnificent point for 40-15 4-2, he though that the match is over and turned into exhibition mode .. how stupid of him under such circumstances where he struggles to win matches against players like Simon and Busta

I got so angry I almost destroyed my laptop

We will see what happens provided they keep up their forms today. Djokovic feasted on a declined RAFA no less than 7 times since the surgery in late 2014 and now I want to see RAFA facing this declining version of Djokovic especially on clay.
