Marrakech R2: Coric def. El Amrani 6-2 3-6 7-6(5)

El Amrani served for the match at *5-4 in the 3rd, but choked badly with 2 DF's in that game. Then he saved a 0-40 in serving at *5-6, but ended up losing the TB.

Future RG winner and world #1 marches on.

Coric was clutch enough to get through. El Amrani had 2 games with BPs in the third which were saved before breaking in the third return rn game.

El Amrani played well. Coric should have won this tournament a year ago. Don't see him winning it this year. He's still way out of form.

It's all PR... Someone started talking about Coric and now you guys believe he's so wonderful kid, his highest ranking - 84, Dzumhur highest ranking - 87. The same actually. Difference? Coric made it via wildcards - to Basel for example, Dzumhur had to reach it by hard work, on qualies, challengers.

My prediction that Coric won't win a title until January 2020 is in deep danger. Even though it's a shit prediction because he'll win one sooner or later, I can't help but feel he can do it here given the field here. Goddammit. Depends on who survives the top half.

Just didn't play great vs Federer.

heartbreaker. also, not quite Ouahab, but he was actually a decent junior - top 50 and an epic June 2004 (wins over Nishikori, Dolgo and Sweeting).

No, In pro tennis. As a 20 years old he won 4 futures beating the likes of Andrey Kuznetsov and Malek Jaziri before folding away with injuries. Had top 100 potential.
