~#~Has the ONCE meteoric career of JUAN CARLOS F`s collapsed??*Titleless in 3-YEARS

->>What do you guys/gals thinks...is Ferrero`s career virtually over or can he have a 2nd coming & still win titles plus challenge for slams
*If Ferrero never wins a title again then his career would probably be considered the most spectacular fall ever for a former #1 .. Since he became #1 at the USO Open in 2003 he`s only won one more title~ at the Madrid TMS in October 2003 !
So his titleless draught has extended to 3-years & despite a fine display at Cincinatti this year it appears possible that he may never win anything ever again

Wilander's fall was worse when he became number 1.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I`d have to disagree .. Wilander still won some titles & SF at AO a couple of years after his #1 year.. Whereas Ferrero has been unable to do much at all since he lost momentum after getting injured early in 2004

He won 1 title in Brazil after he became #1 he was never the same and as for Ferrero will the game moves on and his shots aren't as good as they used to be and other players can get to him now.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

If mosquito could beat A-Rod in US Open 2003, he may create his dynasty, but he couldn't.

His downfall has so many similarities to Myskina's one.

Ferrero rose to career-high (No.1) after USO-2003.
Myskina rose to career-high (No.2) after USO-2004.

Ferrero then won his home Masters tournament (Madrid) in October 2003.
Myskina then won her home Tier I tournament (Moscow) in October 2004.

Since then Ferrero has reached just one significant final - this summer in pre-US Open Cincinnati beating his more successful compatriot Nadal and losing to eventual US Open runner-up Roddick.
Since then Myskina has reached just one significant final - this summer in pre-Wimbledon Eastbourne beating her more successful compatriot Kuznetsova and losing to eventual Wimbledon runner-up Henin.

Myskina = Majoli (One Slam Wonder)

But Ferrero is One Slam Wonder and Two Slam finalists

What does it change?
Both were Slam champions and established Top 10 players and both of them suck right now.
Though I agree Juan Carlos has been better player.

Ferrero is done.
No chance for a comeback.
He randomly reached the Cincinnati final, without that he would be in the rankings where he belongs to, around no 55, 60 in the world.
He isn't better anymore.

Myskina was player of the year in 2004, elected by the ITF and therefore an ITF world champion (I would have elected Sharapova or Henin).

ITF World Champion is based on

1. Grand Slam
2. Davis Cup / FED Cup
3. Olympic Games

Myskina was ITF World Champion 2004 because she was

1. Roland Garros Winner
2. Member of FED Cup Winner
3. 4th in Athens Olympic Games

Likewises, Becker was ITF World Champion 1989 not only because of his dual titles in Wimbledon and US Open (even though 5 titles), but also his winning Davis Cup.

Lendl was Year End NO.1 of 1989 without any arguement (10 titles w/ Australian Open, runner-up of US Open and SF of Wimbledon)

Myskina was number 2 of the world and Majoli 4 as best ranking .

Myskina has 10 titles and Majoli won 7 ... 10 > 7

You can not compare , Myskina is better .
