Here are the quotes, from an article written by Simon Briggs of the Telegraph:
It’s some sort of tear in his ¬elbow,” said Jamie Murray after he and his partner Bruno Soares had moved into the quarter-finals of the doubles here at the Miami Open.
“He said he can do everything ¬except serve and he told me rest was all he had to do.
“I am not planning that he is ¬going to be there [in Rouen to face France next week at Davis Cup]. If he is, then, obviously great for the team and we’ll see what happens, but the most important thing for him is just to get healthy because he has had a few issues now.
“He has had shingles and he has had his elbow. He was sick here as well [with flu] for two or three days after he pulled out of the tournament. I think he just needs to get a bit settled and get a good crack at it over the next three months -because there’s a lot of big tournaments to play.”
According to Briggs, the talk in the locker room is that Murray might not return to the tour until Madrid, which takes place from May 7-14. Murray and his management company have yet to make a statement about the severity of the injury.
Will he play Fed this charity match on 10 of April?! What is going on here?! Fed maybe made them all to feel injured ?! Nadal is next one . Last year something happened and Fed was very very angry in MC. Fed went to Miami to play but he got "virus" and he trained on clay there . Then he went to MC and trained a lot but somehow nothing happened. Those three won all clay MS' and Fed did not like to play FO at all.
Tennis elbow is a common injury that will usually heal with minor treatment, but you have to give it time and rest.
Tennis elbow affects up to 3% of the population, particularly adults between 30 and 50 years of age. But less than 5% of cases are linked to tennis.

that's quite true. i never had any tennis elbow problem and i have been playing tennis for a while. actually, i remember having it one time because i was so freaking cheap and did not replace my over grip sooner and i was exerting extra effort to grip the racquet. the problem went away instantly when i replaced the overgrip so it was never an issue.
World number one Andy Murray is likely to miss Great Britain's Davis Cup quarter-final trip to France due to an elbow injury, his brother Jamie Murray has said.
Three-times grand slam winner Murray, who pulled out of the ongoing Miami Masters after sustaining an elbow problem in training, is expected to be left out of the Great Britain squad, which will be announced on Tuesday.
Murray is also not expected to make the Monte Carlo Masters beginning on April 17.
Not great news for Andy but its for the best to take a good period of rest. Tennis fans more than most sports are seeing what the benefits are to not rushing back and having the best preparation. No reason he can't come back playing well in 6 or so weeks time if he takes it easy for a little while.
Opens the door for other players to make good runs in upcoming events, maybe even winning them. We'll see, but its never nice when one of the top guys is out... and it really feels like we have been in a permanent state of having at least one away injured for years now!!

it's a strange place now with 3 of top 5 (or top 8 now) are injured or having physical concerns.
Roger picked an awfully good time to be away and then rejuvenated, almost serendipitously.
I'm hoping Kei will make the most of the opportunity especially with those clay masters in sight he has been close to.
After reading up on this, it looks like a cumulative effect of an exhausting end of season in 2016, only having 2 weeks off after the WTF and Lendl rumoured to have kept to an extensive training block after Christmas. Then there was the shingles after the AO and another virus he picked up between IW and Miami. The man is hurting! He is alone, tired, and he hasn't seen diddly-squat from anybody down here....oh wait, that's from Die hard.
Anyway, it's good that he's at least sensible enough to listen to medical advice and is taking the required time off.

Missing Davis Cup isn't a bad thing, but potentially missing Monte Carlo is a shame. That said, Andy needs to rest that elbow up and come back healthy and fit. He's got a massive lead in the rankings so having a month and a bit off won't damage his standing at all, so that's fortunate. I'm sure he'll be fine when he returns, though he should stay away from tournaments until he feels completely fine. I will wait in anticipation for your return, Andy
Yeah, it looks like he's doubtful for DC and MC. Hopefully he's back for Madrid but it honestly wouldn't surprise me if the next time we see him is RG. At least he'll be well rested but this is a bit worrying. Hope this isn't 2014 all over again.
2014 was his return to tennis from surgery. This is a simple (in comparison) elbow injury that will heal up nicely with some rest. He'll be back. He may need to get back into the groove but he'll be back and he'll be fine. No worries.
What's going on here? @pepita1964 may be right. ATP wants Oldman to dominate tennis so badly that they are prepared to eliminate all top10 players. This year is truly becoming weakest era ever.
I don't think we can really make any predictions right now about when he'll be back until we know the full extent. I don't think he or his team have officially commented on it yet.
Hopefully he only misses clay season at the most. Last time he skipped RG, he won wimbledon. Hopefully he will come back strong once again.
